PEGGY GERAGHTY, AGHAMORE

Peggy Geraghty (née Duffy), Kilmore, Ballygar, Co. Galway and formerly Raith, Aghamore, Ballyhaunis, peacefully, after a short illness in the care of the staff of the I.C.U. at P.U.H., Ballinasloe.

Predeceased by her brothers Jerry and Seamus. Peggy will be deeply missed by her dear husband Johnny, her devoted children Christina, Neal, Ann, Judy and Kay, her sons-in-law Albert, Eamon and Kieran, her daughters-in-law Michelle and Moira, her much cherished grandchildren Nollaig, Seán, Gráinne, Katie, Liam, Mairéad, April, Dan, M.J., Colm and Daithí, her precious sisters Ann and Julia, brothers John and Pat, her wonderful sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, her fantastic neighbours in Kilmore and her countless friends.

Removal from her residence on Tuesday for Funeral Mass at 3 o’clock in St. Mary’s Church, Ballygar with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

MICHAEL MCGINTY, ACHILL

Michael McGinty, Glassilaun, Currane, Achill, peacefully, in his 90th year, at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar.

Predeceased by his wife Kathleen, his parents John and Mary McGinty, his twin sister Kathleen, his sisters Julia, Mary (Sissy Joyce), brothers Mark, Martin and John, nephew John (London) and niece Marie. Deeply regretted by his daughters Siobhán (Julia Ann), Mary, Cathy, Michelle and son Michael John. Also missed by his sons-in-law Patsy and Seán and grandchildren, Cliona, Mark, Alanna, Stephen, David, Dylan and Amy and his great-grandchildren, Aoife, Tegan, Kate, Alison and Tommy, his sister-in-law Rose and nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at the hospital morgue on Tuesday from 2 with removal at 2:30 p.m. to Casadh an Taoille Currane F28 TF68 for reposing from 5 with removal at 6:30 p.m. to Our Lady Queen of the Universe Church (adjacent). Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with burial afterwards in Pollranny Cemetery.

MARTIN MORAN, BALLINROBE

Martin Moran, Creagh Road, Rathkelly, Ballinrobe, peacefully, at his residence surrounded by his loving family and with the excellent care and support of the Palliative Homecare Team.

Predeceased by his parents Paddy and May Moran, brother John Joe and brother-in-law Michael Ryan. Martin will be very sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife Carmel, daughters Jackie and Maria, sons Jason and John, sons-in-law Brendan and Roy, daughter-in-law Claire, grandchildren Seán, Ellen, Meadhbh, Eoin and Rory. Sadly missed by his sisters Teresa (Maltpool, Claremorris), Sally (Galway), Ann (Australia), Monica (Bushfield, Hollymount), Margaret (Manulla), brothers Gerard (Stonepark, Mayo Abbey) and Patrick (Kilmeena, Westport), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunt Monica Hynes (Birmingham) uncle Michael Mellett (Swords), nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Saint Joseph’s Funeral Home, Ballinrobe F31H289, on Tuesday evening from 5.30 with removal at 7 p.m. to Saint Mary’s Church, Ballinrobe. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the funeral proceeding to the new cemetery, Ballinrobe.
