The following are today's Mayo death and funeral notices.

FRANCES COONEY, DOOHOMA

Frances Cooney (née Goonan) of Edinburgh, Doohoma and formerly of Tallaghan Bawn. Frances died suddenly but peacefully at home in Edinburgh.

Predeceased by her son Eddie, daughter Rita, son-in-law Willie-Paul and grandson Shaun. Sadly mourned by her loving husband Tony, children Brian, Mary, Pack, Tony, John, Roseanne and Bridie, her sons-in-law John, Martin and Gerry and her daughter-in-law, Shirley, her adored 26 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

A Mass will be held at St Joseph RC Church Broomhouse, Edinburgh at 6 p.m. on Friday evening. Frances will be reposing at her daughter Mary’s house in Doohoma (Eircode F26 P5W7), from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday with removal to St. Pius X Church, Doohoma arriving 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will take place at 12 p.m. on Monday followed by burial at Doohoma Cemetery.

THOMAS MCGOUGH, CASTLEBAR

Thomas (Tom) McGough, Snugboro, Castlebar (Ex An Post) peacefully in the wonderful care of the Mayo Hospice.

Remains reposing at The Coady’s Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5 until 7 o clock with removal to The Church of The Holy Rosary, Castlebar. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11 o clock with funeral afterwards to Castlebar new cemetery.

Predeceased by his wife Kathleen (née Heneghan). Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his son Michael James, daughter in law Caroline, grandsons Mike and Eric, brothers Tom (Clare) and Paddy (Drimcoggy), sister Margaret (England), sister-in-law Carmel, brother-in-law Johnny Coyne, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at St. Mary’s Funeral, Tourmakeady on Thursday evening from 5:30, with removal at 7 p.m. to St. Mary’s Church. Requiem Mass on Friday morning at 11 a.m. followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

MARTIN MURPHY, BALLINA

Martin (Marty) Murphy, Breaffy, Ballina. Peacefully at St. John’s Hospital, Castlebar.

Deeply mourned by his loving brother Danny, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Remains Reposing at Gallagher’s Funeral Home , Bonniconlon on Friday evening from 6.30 to 8 p.m. Funeral arriving to St. Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina for 11.30 a.m. Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in Leigue Cemetery.
