Mayo athletes to be honoured at the B&J Chambers Mayo Athletic Awards

ALL roads lead to the Great National Hotel Ballina tomorrow (Sunday, January 22) when Moy Valley Athletic Club will host the 2022 B&J Chambers Mayo Athletic Awards.

This is one of the premier sporting events in the county calendar and athletes from all over Mayo will be honoured for their contribution to athletics during the past year.

In all, 130 awards and 60 certificates will be presented to all athletes who won national and international medals in 2022.

This event will celebrate the most successful year to date in Mayo athletics. The county is privileged to have so many fantastic athletes representing their clubs, county and country with distinction in all aspects of athletics.

The categories are: Special Achievement, Extraordinary, Outstanding, High Achievement, Achievement and Team Awards.

Athletes, family and friends are invited to make their way to the Great National Hotel Ballina on Sunday for this gala celebration. Contact club members if you require tickets or commemorative booklets immediately. Dinner will be served at 1 p.m. sharp only to those who hold a valid ticket.
