Safety concern at lake car park entrance in Mayo's county town

A SAFETY concern at the entrance to the car park at Lough Lannagh in Castlebar has been raised by Councillor Ger Deere.

A number of people have raised their concerns with the councillor where cars are coming into the car park at speed, particularly at night.

When people were linking to get across to the bridge across the car park it was 'lethal', he said.

A ramp was a possibility and the situation needs to be looked at, he added.
