Mayo school wins national title

St Joseph’s Secondary School, Foxford, won the FAI Schools Senior B Girls National Cup (Under 20) Small Schools title earlier today following a thrilling win over Colaiste Oiriall after extra time.

The Monaghan outfit took the lead at the end of the first half only to see Mila Soroparra equaliser to take it to extra time.

Four minutes into the second period of extra time, Soroparra scored her second to clinch St. Joseph's the title.

A cup double is now on as the boys side face Gaelcholáiste na Mara, Arklow in the FAI Schools John Murphy Senior ‘B’ National Cup Final (Under 19, Small Schools on Friday, February 10.
