Smartphone product photography workshop in Mayo

Learn essential tips to make your product look irresistible with a smartphone product photography workshop in Mayo next month.

Running from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Breaffy House Hotel, Castlebar, on Tuesday, March 7, participants will learn the essential food photography tips, natural lighting, styling techniques, various shooting styles and photo editing techniques necessary to make mouth-watering food photos for their product.

This workshop will be delivered by Eugene Langan of Studio Eight Photography and will cover how to style and capture amazing images of food, drink and craft products using your smartphone.

It will teach you about preparing for your shoot, the product, packaging and propping. You will decide where to set up your photography area using simple equipment available in your own home. You will become familiar with your smartphone settings and preparing your images for use on social media.

The workshop will help you to implement the knowledge learned and improve the quality of your social media assets. Participants will learn the essential product photography tips, natural lighting, styling techniques, and various shooting styles and photo editing techniques necessary to make eye-catching and mouth-watering photos for your product.

Attendees are encouraged to bring along images you are using in social media and bring your own products and packaging which you can photograph during the workshop under Eugene’s guidance. Lunch and refreshments is also included. The fee is €20. Booking details can be found here.
