Half-time exhibition planned for Mayo v Tyrone game
Two Cumann na mBunscoil games – involving girls and boys – will be played during half-time in Saturday evening's Mayo v Tyrone game at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park, Castlebar.
The exhibition will involve school children from Barnacarroll NS, Claremorris, and Scoil Raifteirí SN, Caisleán a' Bharraigh.
Mayo GAA are advising that spectators and children should not enter the pitch at half-time while those games are being played.
The round four Allianz National Football League Division 1 game (Saturday, February 25, 7 p.m.) is an all-ticket affiar and no tickets will be available to purchase at the grounds on the day. Tickets can be purchased in advance via GAA.ie/tickets and selected SuperValu and Centra Stores. Admission costs €18 for adults and €15 for students and OAPs, while juveniles (children under 16 years of age) can enter for free.
The turnstiles will open at 5.15 p.m. on Saturday. Supporters entering the stand can access the stadium via the An Sportlann car park while those entering the terraces can access the grounds via the turnstiles on McHale Road. Supporters are asked to have their digital or printed tickets ready for scanning on arrival at the turnstiles. Patrons are advised to arrive early and obey all the stewards and gardaí on duty. Match day programmes will be available to purchase inside and outside the grounds.
As parking around Hastings Insurance MacHale Park is limited, there will be no public parking around An Sportlann car park.
All Mayo GAA supporters are asked to obey all bylaws and show consideration for local residents when parking. Parking by supporters along the N5 is not recommended for health and safety reasons. There is ample free car parking spaces for supporters within the environs of Castlebar itself.
Traffic lights remain in operation at Heathlawn on the Claremorris-Balla road, on the Balla side of The Beaten Path. These lights will give priority to the traffic coming from the busiest side. It is recommended that, where possible, people travelling to Hastings Insurance MacHale Park for the match use an alternative route to Castlebar as there are likely to be some delays.
There are also roadworks on the Belcarra Road, Castlebar, and temporary traffic light are in place.
