MARTIN DAVIS, CROSSMOLINA

Martin Davis, Moygownagh, Crossmolina. Peacefully at his residence on January 20, 2023 in his 95th year.

Predeceased by his wife Betty, parents John and Bridget, brothers John, Paul and Paddy, sisters Phil Rafferty and Mai Forde. Beloved brother of Noel. Sadly missed by his brother, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, March 9, in St Austin’s Church, St. Helen’s Merseyside, U.K. at 11.30 a.m. followed by cremation at St. Helen’s Crematorium, Merseyside, U.K.

BRIDGET BERRY, CASTLEBAR

The death occurred peacefully at the Mayo University Hospital on Tuesday, February 21, of Bridget Berry (better known as Bridgie), 8 McHale Road, Castlebar and formerly of Carrowniskey, Louisburgh and the Sacred Heart Hospital, Castlebar.

Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Margaret Berry and her daughter Margaret, her brothers Tony and James and her brother-in-law Johnny. She will be sadly missed by her much loved sisters Julia (Castlebar) and Mary Catherine Durkan (Askelane, Louisburgh) and her brother John (Carrowniskey, Louisburgh), her nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Bridgie will repose in Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar on Thursday from 6.30 to 7.30 p.m. Her funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar (via McHale Road) on Friday morning for Funeral Mass at 11.30 a.m. Afterwards Bridgie will be laid to rest in the New Cemetery, Newport Road, Castlebar.

DELIA MCWALTER, KILMAINE

Della McWalter (née Kelly), Ballyhenry, Kilmaine and formerly of Moylough, Co. Galway. Peacefully at Friars Lodge Nursing Home, Ballinrobe surrounded by her family after a long illness bravely borne.

Daughter of the late Mick and Delia, sister of her late brothers Eamonn (Galway) and Mickey (Chicago, USA). She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband of 59 years Paul, loving daughters Alberta, Patria and Claire, sons Paul and Adrian, sons-in-law John (Long), Jim (Ó h-Uiginn) and Michael (Dreelan), daughters-in-law Marie (Mannion) and Suzie (McWalter), cherished grandchildren Conor, Jack, Luke, Tom, Aoibhín, Éanna and Sam, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence on Thursday from 2 until 7.30 p.m. (otherwise house private). Removal from her residence on Friday morning to St. Patrick’s Church, Kilmaine, for funeral Mass at 12 p.m. and afterwards a private service in Shannon Crematorium.

EUGENIE PERCEVAL, WESTPORT

Eugenie Mary Perceval (née Strickland) of Rosbeg, Westport died peacefully after long illness bravely fought.

Deeply missed by loving husband Patrick, son Ronan and daughter Oonagh, grandsons Angus, Felix, Fred, Zachary and Albie, brothers Benjamin, Timothy, Simon and Owen.

Reposing at her home from 4.30 p.m. today (Wednesday). Funeral Mass at 12 noon in St. Patrick's Church, Lecanvey. Private cremation to follow.

NOEL WILSON, BELMULLET

Noel Wilson, Corclough West, Belmullet and formerly of Barrack Street, Belmullet and Craigadoes, St. Johnston, Lifford, Co. Donegal peacefully at the Belmullet Community Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his wife Eileen (née Shevlin), parents Dan and Julia and sisters Betty, Mary and Sheila. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family, daughters Mary Wilson (Belmullet), Anna Fitzgerald (Kildare), Julie Wilson (U.K.), sons Daniel Wilson (Corclough West, Belmullet), Neil (Shraigh West, Bunnahowen, Belmullet) and Brian (Glengad, Pullathomas), sisters Anna Quinn (Lifford), Sadie McLean (Convoy), Kay McGlinchey (Raphoe), brothers Danny (London), Tommy (St. Johnson) and Brian (Letterkenny), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons in law Dessie Fitzgerald and Mark Sluce, daughters in law Sheila, Annette and Collette, relatives, kind neighbours and many friends.

Remains reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Thursday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. with funeral arriving at the Church of the Holy Family, Carne at 8.30 p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon followed by burial in Tarmoncarra Cemetery.
