Three changes for Mayo team as they head for the capital
Mayo manager Michael Moyles has made three changes to his team for this weekend's LGFA Lidl Division 1 clash with Dublin.
In come Roisin Flynn, captain Kathryn Sullivan and Rachel Kearns for Lucy Wallace, Hannah Reape and Maria Reilly as Mayo aim to build on that crucial win against Meath last Saturday.
Dublin have similarly made three changes to the starting team that lined out against Kerry, with Abby Shiels replacing Emer Ní Éafa in goal and Rachel Brennan and Orlagh Nolan coming in for Tammy Quinn Corbally and Ellen Gribben further out the field.
The game in DCU St. Clare's throws in at 4.30 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday), and will be broadcast live on TG4.
Mayo's victory over Meath last weekend was not only impressive, but crucial too as they had lost their opening three matches.
Moyles' charges face another big test against a Dublin side smarting from defeat to Kerry last time out.
For the Dubs, a late surge is needed if they’re to make it to the Division 1 final but a win here would leave them in with an outside shot ahead of the last two rounds of fixtures.
Mayo go into this one knowing that even a draw could prove crucial as they aim to stave off the threat of relegation.
The Mayo team for the clash is: L. Brennan; É. Ronayne, R. Flynn, D. Caldwell; C. Needham, F. McHale, K. Sullivan; C. McManamon, S. Cafferky; S. Walsh, S. Howley, M. Cannon; L. Cafferky, R. Kearns, T. Needham.
Elsewhere in Division 1 this weekend, pace-setters Kerry face champions Meath, second-placed Galway make the trip to third-placed Waterford; and bottom of the table Donegal travel to Mallow for a clash with Cork.
