Improved parking facilities needed at central Mayo school

EXTRA parking at Balla National School needs to be addressed.

There is 'mayhem' at the school during drop-off and pick-up times, Councillor Cyril Burke told a Castlebar Municipal District meeting.

Ground needs to be provided for more parking.

It's a huge issue, with people parking in people's driveways, he explained. It needs more organisation.

Councillor Burke asked that the council would engage with the school's board of management to see what can be done.
