Two Status Yellow weather warnings issued for Mayo

TWO Status Yellow weather warnings have been issued for Mayo.

A snow/ice warning is in place from 3 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, until 11 p.m. Thursday.

Rain, sleet and snow will spread and accumulations of snow are expected in many areas along with icy conditions.

Motorists are advised that there may be hazardous driving conditions.

A low temperature/ice warning is also in place from 9 p.m. on Thursday until 10 a.m. Friday.

There will be widespread icy stretches on Thursday night and Friday morning, with hazardous driving conditions and travel disruption possible.
