A warm welcome to the Mayo courts extended to young solicitor

Breaffy native Ciana Mulchrone has joined Claremorris law firm Keane McEllin as an associate solicitor.

Ciana, a sister of practitioner Gary Mulchrone, was warmly welcomed today at Castlebar District Court.

After finishing secondary school in St. Joseph's, Castlebar, she studied in NUIG before starting in Vincent & Beatty Solicitors Dublin, as a trainee solicitor.

She later spent time working with Chief State Solicitors Office before working with Sheehan & Co Solicitors, Galway, for almost seven years where she honed her skills as a solicitor.

Mr. Tom Walsh, solicitor, welcomed Ms. Mulchrone to the Mayo courts on behalf of his colleagues.

"She excelled and lifted the boat in Galway," said Mr. Walsh.

Barrister Brendan McDonagh BL called Ms. Mulchrone a superb practitioner and said she will be a tremendous asset to the Mayo courts.

Judge Fiona Lydon said her CV is very impressive and is a delighted to see a new, young practitioner.

"If you're anything like your brother, it'll be a pleasure to work with you," said the judge.
