Last call for Mayo food and drink businesses
With just one week to go, Maxol is reminding all small and medium sized food and drink businesses in Mayo and throughout Ireland that there is still time to enter Homegrown at Maxol, a new programme that aims to shine a light on indigenous Irish producers.
Four producers and/or products will be selected from all entries and offered prime shelf space in Maxol stores, marketing and PR support, and importantly, invaluable mentorship.
Of the four, one outstanding product or producer will be chosen by Maxol as the inaugural Homegrown at Maxol Champion for 2023.
Applications are open until March 31 at https://homegrown.maxol.ie and entering couldn’t be easier.
The programme, which has been launched in partnership with Champion Green, is open to food and drinks products of all kinds as long as they are grown or made in Ireland.
Brian Donaldson, CEO of Maxol, said: “As a family-owned Irish business, we feel we have a duty of care to help other indigenous businesses. We know consumers want to shop local and buy local, and while we already stock a broad range of locally produced products in our stores, we want to give even more prominence to the incredible array of food and drink that is made in Ireland.
“We’re looking forward to seeing and sampling the entries and I encourage anyone in the sector that is ready to take the next step for their business to get in touch today.”
