CASTLEBAR Golf Club kicked off the season with a champagne reception for the captains' drive-in on March 19 last.
The weather didn't dampen the spirits as fellow golfers, family and friends gathered around the first tee to watch ladies' captain Monica Joyce and men's captain Shane Quigley hit their ceremonial shots.
Happily, both drives sailed long and true down the middle of the fairway!
The club would like to wish Monica and Shane every success and great golf for the year ahead.
