Mayo county town in mourning over passing of Cormac Cresham

The death has taken place of Cormac Cresham, Fortfield, Castlebar, a member of a much-loved and respected family.

He died peacefully at Mayo Hospice yesterday surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his dad Frank, aunt Mona Rabbett and uncle Pat, he is deeply regretted by his loving mother Ann, son Nathan, brother Conor, aunts, uncles, nephew Leon, niece Alyssa, brother-in-law Noel, Nathan's mother Karen, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends, to whom sympathy is tendered.

Warm tributes are being paid to the deceased on social media.

"He always brought a smile to our faces and helped anybody he could," one stated.

"Cormac was a lovely person," another said.

Message of condolences are being extended to the bereaved family across social media.

His remains will be reposing at Coady's Funeral Home on Thursday from 5.30 until 7 p.m., followed by removal to his home in Fortfield.

Removal from his home takes place on Friday at 10:15 a.m. to the Church of the Holy Rosary for Requiem Mass at 11 a.m.

He will be laid to rest afterwards with his father Frank at the New Cemetery, Castlebar.
