Mayo chief executive delivers address at national conference on housing

The chief executive of Mayo County Council, Kevin Kelly, brought his expertise in housing to the Housing Practitioners Conference which took place at The Strand Hotel in Limerick.

The conference heard from experts across the housing sector including a video message from Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Minister Darragh O’Brien, Ailbhe McLoughlin, Director of Policy, Irish Council for Social Housing and Bronagh D’Arcy, Deputy CEO, Tuath Housing.

The conference, organised by The Housing Agency, in collaboration with the Institute of Public Administration, addressed the theme "Housing for All: Lessons from Practice."

As well as expert speakers in the industry, the conference also featured a range of workshops on topics including modern methods of construction, trauma-informed care, Traveller specific accommodation and approved housing body regulation.
