Official opening of east Mayo school extension today

CELEBRATIONS are taking place in Knock today with the official opening of the local national school's new extension.

The official opening ceremony of Knock NS's extension will take place at 2 p.m.

Archbishop Francis Duffy will be visiting the school to conduct a blessing and perform the official opening.

Everyone from the school community and Knock Parish are invited to attend.

The celebrations come a day after the school's girls team were crowned Cumann na mBunscol Mayo county camogie champions.
