New seafood offering Ár Bia Mara open in Achill

ACHILL has an outstanding new seafood offering.

Ár Bia Mara is located at Keel, serving quality, locally sourced seafood.

The What's on in Achill social media page has extended congratulations to Paddy and Collette Mulvanny as they embark on their new entrepreneurial journey, launching Ár Bia Mara.

They set out: 'The business, whose name signifies Our Sea Food, truly lives up to its name, offering a plethora of dishes enriched with fresh seafood, sourced daily from their own fishing vessel.

'However, Ár Bia Mara is more than just another fish 'n' chips shop. It elevates the concept by offering an array of top-tier seafood delicacies, as well as diverse and affordable options that cater to every member of the family.

'Paddy brings to the table an extensive background in the hotel industry, where he started his career and honed his culinary skills in Galway. While he subsequently shifted to a career as a qualified skipper, owning a boat and venturing into fishing, his passion for food never waned.

'With Ár Bia Mara, Paddy strives to blend his two passions perfectly, offering the best of both the culinary and maritime worlds.

'Their boat, now anchored in Achill, is committed to harvesting seafood exclusively for their new venture. The addition of a custom-built food truck, tailored to their unique menu, brings a fresh wave of excitement to Achill Island's catering scene.

'Ar Bia Mara is currently located across from Keel Garda Station and features some outdoor seating for its clientele.'

Customer feedback since the opening has been hugely positive - check it out if you're in the area.
