Mayo's rising goalkeeping star called up to the Ireland Under-19 squad

Conor Walsh, the 18-year-old shot stopper hailing from Westport, has reached yet another milestone in his burgeoning football career.

The young keeper has earned a coveted spot in the Republic of Ireland Men's Under-19s squad, solidifying his status as one of Ireland's most promising talents.

Known for his composure and agility between the posts, Walsh recently ascended to the number one position at Sligo Rovers, due to the departure of Belcarra native Luke McNicholas to Wrexham last month.

Walsh’s rise to prominence has culminated in his selection for the Ireland Under-19s squad, a testament to his dedication and hard work.

Walsh's footballing journey began with his local Westport United, steadily catching the eye of talent scouts. Now, he stands on the precipice of representing his country at the Under-19 level, a significant achievement for any young player.
