Naughton Scholarship for south Mayo student
EVAN Reilly of St. Colman's College, Claremorris, has been awarded the Naughton Scholarship at a ceremony in Trinity College, Dublin.
Evan, who is studying biomedical science at Galway University, is the second student in as many years from St. Colman's College to win the prestigious award following the success of Mike Heaney last year. Mike is currently studying engineering at UCD.
The Naughton Scholarship is awarded to students of exceptional ability who are continuing their studies in the Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) fields.
St. Colman's are very proud of Evan's achievement and wish him all the best in his studies.
Former Taoiseach Enda Kenny was guest of honour at the ceremony and presented the awards.
