Warm tributes to Mayo undertaker on his passing

The death has occurred of Patrick (Pat) Donnellan, Clare Street, Ballyhaunis.

A widely-known and respected undertaker, he died peacefully in the wonderful care of the team at the Mayo Hospice, Castlebar.

Predeceased by his father Tom, he is deeply regretted by his loving mother Ger, brothers Paul, Brendan and Mark, sisters-in-law Paula and Eileen, nieces Gillian, Maeve and Aibhe, nephews Tom and Sean, aunts, cousins, relatives and a large circle of treasured friends, to whom sympathy is tendered.

Warm tributes are being paid to the deceased on social media.

"Pat was always courteous and helpful anytime we met," one stated.

"He brought so many to their final resting place and with such care and dignity. Pat is with the angels now." another said.

A further tribute described Pat as "a gentleman and a true professional."

Reposing at the family's funeral home, Clare Street, Ballyhaunis, on Friday from 4.30 until 6.30 p.m. (Eircode - F35 PK68).

Funeral Mass in St. Patrick's Church, Ballyhaunis, on Saturday at 1 p.m. with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.
