Mayo's Ballintubber Abbey to host performance of Fauré's Requiem

LOUISBURGH Voices are joining with Cór Mhaigh Eo to perform Fauré's Requiem in Ballintubber Abbey on Sunday, November 19, at 5 p.m.

Directed by Dr. Brian Lennon, the event will feature soloists Nan Ni Fhiaich (soprano) and Owen Gilhooly-Miles (baritone), the ConTempo String Quartet (ConTempo String Quartet) and Michael Quinn (organ).

Tickets are €25 and are available from Durkan's Gala in Louisburgh (098 - 66394), Clew Bay Hotel, Westport (098 - 28088) and Parsons Shoes in Castlebar (094 - 9021064).

The concert is supported by Mayo County Council's Arts Office.

Proceeds of the concert will benefit Ballintubber Abbey Trust and Daisy Lodge, Cong (Cancer Fund for Children Ireland).
