Proposed Mayo glamping pods project appealed
A GLAMPING pods development in Carrowmore-Lacken in north Mayo is under appeal to An Bord Pleanála.
The proposed project comprises of five glamping pods and was given the green light by Mayo County Council.
However, three parties have appealed that ruling, with objections having been raised with the council too.
A decision on the development is due to be issued by the appeals board before the end of March.
There is already a B&B at the site and the operators wish to expand their business with the five glamping pods.
Hen and stag parties bookings would not be taken, planners were told, and there would be a no noise after 10 p.m. policy.
Eleven objections were submitted to the council, raising a number of issues, including traffic hazard, noise and wildlife.
