New disability bikes and picnic benches at south Mayo community grounds

KILMAINE Community Grounds have launched four disability bikes and picnic benches suitable for wheelchair users along the walkway.

Outfit Bikes are part of outdoor gym equipment that has been designed for simple use while providing workout stations to those who use a wheelchair or who have a physical disability in any way. The bikes cater for all age groups.

The committee in Kilmaine have extended their appreciation for the allocated funding from Mayo County Council and St. Coleman’s Credit Union in Ballinrobe that helped to complete the Outfit Bike project.

The community walkway is open to the public and there are lights on every morning and evening for anybody who wishes to stop by and enjoy a walk in a safe environment.
