Mayo native named captain of Dundalk F.C. for upcoming season

Bohola man and Lilywhite stalwart, John Mountney has been named Dundalk F.C. captain for the 2024 season.

Entering his twelfth season with the club, the former Ballina Town winger looks set to play a leading role for the Louth club as he makes a long awaited return from injury.

Mountney currently sponsors his former youth club Kiltimagh/Knock United's senior men's team and the club has wished him the best of luck for the year ahead.

Dundalk F.C. have confirmed Andy Boyle will be their vice-captain.
