Aontú select another Mayo candidate for local elections
Kilmovee native Tommy Horan has once again thrown his hat into the ring, announcing his candidacy for the Swinford Local Electoral Area.
A familiar face in the community, Horan aims to build on his past endeavours and make a strong impact in the June’s election.
In the previous 2019 elections, Horan garnered significant support, securing 642 first preference votes.
However, there is a need to amplify efforts this time around, as he will need to target double that tally to stand a solid chance of clinching a seat in the June 7 ballot.
Horan's decision to run again comes as no surprise to those familiar with his extensive track record in community development and activism.
With a background as a Family Support and Community Development Worker at Kilmovee Family Resource Centre, as well as his experience as a successful entrepreneur, Horan brings a unique blend of practical expertise and grassroots insight to the table.
