Over €29m. secured for Mayo's national roads and greenways
Mayo TD Michael Ring has welcomed the announcement that €29,356,082 has been allocated to Mayo County Council for its national roads and greenways from Transport Infrastructure Ireland for 2024.
The roads in the funding allocation include:-
•N05: Knockatemple Pavement - €1,600,000.
•N05: Liscromwell to Knockanour (Turlough) Pavement Scheme - €2,000,000.
•N59: Newfield to Derrada Realignment - €5,580,000.
•N 60: Heathlawn - €5,600,000.
Also included in the Greenway funding is:-
•Clew Bay – Achill Sound and extension. to Bunnacurry - €950,000
He stated: “I am pleased to note the government’s continued investment in our roads and greenways.
"The €74 million funding nationally for greenways is part of the overall commitment of government to invest in active travel each year over the lifetime of the government," stated Deputy Ring.
