Mayo county town mourning death of 'lovely lady' Betty Kerrigan

The death has taken place of Betty Kerrigan, (neé Feeney), Fr. Meehan Place, and late of McHale Road, Castlebar.

A much-loved and respected personality, news of her passing is widely mourned in the community at large.

Tributes are being paid to her on social media, where she was described as 'a lovely lady who will be greatly missed'.

Predeceased by her husband Paddy and brothers John and Josie, she is deeply regretted by her loving family Anne, Helen, Patricia, Francis, Mary and Lisa, brothers Vincent, Martin and Michael, sister Anne, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, son-in-law Mairtín, grandchildren Shane, Callum, Saileóg, Fiachra, Fionn, Aedan and Conal, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.

Betty will repose at Coady’s Funeral home on Tuesday from 5.30 p.m. with removal at 7 p.m. to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.

Requiem Mass takes place on Wednesday at 11 a.m. followed by burial in the New Cemetery, Castlebar.
