Mayo basketball legend Deora Marsh inducted into Hall of Fame

Deora Marsh, a beloved basketball player originally from the USA but resident in Ballina has been officially inducted into the Basketball Ireland Hall of Fame.

The announcement was met with widespread joy and celebration, particularly from the people Ballina, where Marsh has long been regarded as a local hero.

The news was confirmed by Fianna Fáil Minister Dara Calleary, who expressed his delight at Marsh's well-deserved recognition.

Calleary commended Marsh's stellar career and his lasting impact on the sport.

Recognition from Basketball Ireland places Marsh alongside another Ballina basketball great, Liam McHale, in the esteemed Hall of Fame.
