Artists unite for Mayo exhibition to support children of Kenya

A GROUP of compassionate local artists have come together to donate their artwork for a noble cause, hosting an exhibition at Claremorris Gallery, Mount Street, Claremorris, dedicated to the fight against child labour.

The event aims to raise awareness and funds for Protect the Children of Kenya, a local charity committed to the eradication of child exploitation.

The exhibition will run from this Friday, March 15, to March 17, and the opening times are Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m.

The official opening will be on Friday at 8 p.m. and will be performed by Dominic Feeney, CEO of CBE.

This special exhibition is a unique collaboration between Protect, Claremorris Gallery and the local artists who have generously donated their works to support this critical cause.

The event not only showcases the diverse talents of the artists but also reflects their shared commitment to social justice and child welfare.

CBE have been a staunch supporter of children's rights and community initiatives.

This is more than an art exhibition. It is a call to the community to stand together against the injustices faced by children in Kenya and around the world.

All proceeds from the sale of artwork will go directly to Protect the Children of Kenya, aiding their mission to protect children from labour and exploitation.

Protect, the Claremorris Gallery and the participating artists invite the public to join them in this important cause. Attendees will have the opportunity to view and purchase unique pieces of art, knowing that their support will make a direct impact on the lives of vulnerable children.

Protect the Children of Kenya is a dedicated charity working tirelessly to combat child labour and promote the rights and well-being of children across Kitui, Kenya. Through a combination of advocacy, education and direct intervention, the organisation seeks to create a safer, more equitable world for all children.
