Mayo garda station hosts Daffodil Day coffee morning

CASTLEBAR Garda Station hosted a coffee morning as part of the Irish Cancer Society’s Daffodil Day.

This is a cause particularly close to everyone in Castlebar.

Almost two years ago Inspector Margaret O’Connor’s daughter, Sinead Walsh, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphomatic Leukaemia. And in the midst of taking care of Sinead, Margaret was unfortunately diagnosed with Pleomorphic Lobular Carcinoma in Situ, a form of breast cancer.

Both Sinead and Margaret have received huge support from the Irish Cancer Society, colleagues, family and the local community over the last two years.

The event was a special day, to show that support once again.

Photos from the morning were shared on the Garda Síochána North Western Region Facebook page.
