Funeral of Mayo couple who died tragically in house fire

The funeral arrangements have been announced of Thomas and Eileen Mahon, Deerpark, Kilkelly Road, Swinford, who died in a fire at their residence last Tuesday, March 26.

The couple are deeply mourned by their daughters Pearl and Claire, sons-in-law Mike and David, and grandchildren Maya, Bonnie, Abhainn and Phoebe.

Thomas, formerly of Ballaghaderreen, was predeceased by his parents Tommy and Marion Mahon.

He is also survived by brothers Michael, Colm and Peadar, sister Marie, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and all of his extended family, neighbours and wider circle of friends.

Eileen (née Cooper), formerly of Castlerea, was predeceased by her parents Patrick and Tereasa Cooper, and brother Denis Cooper.

Eileen is also survived by her brothers Pat, Garry, Kevin and Richard, sisters Kay, Anne, Sheila and Carmel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and all of her extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their immeasurable loss.

Thomas and Eileen will repose alongside one another at the Cultural Centre, Swinford, on Tuesday evening next, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Their funeral ceremonies will take place at 10 o'clock on Wednesday morning in The Culture Centre, Swinford, followed by a private cremation.
