Mayo team announced for Nicky Rackard Cup opener

Mayo hurling joint managers Brian Finn and Ray Larkin have made two changes to their team for round one of the Nicky Rackard Cup championship against Monaghan.

Caiseal Gaels' Matthew Connor is handed his championship debut after impressing in the Allianz NHL and comes into the team in place of Conal Hession.

In addition, Sean Regan of Tooreen gets his first start of the year after returning to the panel, and he comes in for Daniel Huane.

Ballyvary's Ronan Reilly also comes into the match day squad, wearing number 26. Tooreen's David Kenny will captain the team.

The game will be played on Sunday (April 14) at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park, Castlebar, throwing in at 2 p.m. Midwest Radio will have live commentary with Michael D. McAndrew and Sean O'Reilly. Mayo GAA will also have live updates across all social media channels. Referee Matthew Farrell from Roscommon will officiate this game, which is an all-ticket affair. Tickets can be purchased here.
