Extension approved for west Mayo primary school

S.N. Naomh Padraig Saile (Saula N.S.) in Achill has been approved funding for an extension from the Department of Education, under the Additional Accommodation Scheme.

Deputy Michael Ring has confirmed that the extension include one mainstream classroom and one SET.

He commented: “This is very welcome news and I am sure that the teachers and students will benefit from the additional accommodation being provided.

“Capital funding in our education system in vital to improve the learning environment for all children.”

Deputy Alan Dillon also welcomed the initial project approval, saying he was committed to ensuring the further development of this school into the future to meet the needs of the local community.
