Mayo town gridlocked after vehicle combustion

Castlebar Fire Brigade responded to the scene of a vehicle fire in Newtown, Castlebar, this afternoon.

Fortunately, no injuries occurred, and the fire has been extinguished. The vehicle is now awaiting removal.

Traffic is heavily congested in the county town as emergency services have closed off Lannagh Road.

Lines of traffic are backed up as far as the Pontoon Road.
