Three wins on the trot for Conn in Mayo Women's League

CONN Rangers made it three wins from three to open up a three-point gap at the top of the Mayo Women's League Premier Division on Friday evening.

It's all about three for the Mount Falcon women this week as they notched up a 3-0 win over Kiltimagh Knock United.

KK competed well in a performance that pleased their management but an OG and a Grace Naughton strike for Conn just before half-time had the home side 2-0 up at the break. Cliodhna Flynn kept her scoring streak going with the only goal of the second half.

Near neighbours Straide & Foxford took full points from Swinford at home courtesy of Siobhan Wilson and substitute Fiona Doherty in a 2-0 win.

Manulla recovered from their previous week's defeat with a 1-0 win over Castlebar Town. Tara Ryan got the goal in the 83rd minute.

In Division 1, Westport enjoyed their first home win since their return to the league with a 4-0 victory over newbies Ballina who had two wins under their belts going into this encounter.

This was Westport's first home fixture and they made it a night to remember with goals from Ciara Moran, Aoibheann Chambers, Milly Allen and Aoife Gannon.⚽️

Ballinrobe and Crossmolina played out a nine-goal thriller in south Mayo, with Cross' emerging 5-4 winners. Unusually, both teams had players recording hat-tricks.

An early Niamh Maughan goal had Crossmolina out of the blocks but Jess Nolan responded with her first goal for her new club on 28 minutes. The Crossmolina response was swift, with Danielle Kelly restoring their lead minutes later, but parity was restored again with an Alannah Devereaux goal for 'Robe just before half-time.

The game continued in a similar vein in the second half, with scores, in this order, from Eilis Keane (Crossmolina), Deveraux, Maughan, Devereaux, and Maughan again on 70 minutes to seal full points for the north Mayo side.

Just two fixtures next weekend in Division 1 with Mayo involved in the Angela Hearst Cup.
