New water station for west Mayo town

WESTPORT is getting a new water station where you can refill on the go.

It will be located on Bridge Street in the town.

The initiative has been welcomed by local Councillor Christy Hyland as a positive move he has worked on to help 'bin the plastic'.

Work has commenced on installing the new water station, which will allow for free water refills.

Councillor Hyland confirmed that more water stations will follow in other locations.
