Mayo residents 'very disappointed' by grass-cutting of their green area

Residents of the Marian Row, St. Bridget’s Crescent and Pound Road in Castlebar are very disappointed by the manner in which their main green space is being cut.

They say it is not being treated with the same esteem as the Mall, which is maintained in pristine condition.

Instead, their green is not being cut to an acceptable standard with the edges along the footpaths and roadways neglected as is the area along the stream at Marian Row.

This is in sharp contrast to the standards achieved during the era when Castlebar Town Council operated.

The matter is expected to be raised at the May meeting of Castlebar Municipal District
