Mayo's Wild Atlantic Words Festival draws to a memorable close

THE ninth annual Wild Atlantic Words Festival in Castlebar has drawn to a memorable close.
The final event of the week-long celebration of local and national literary accomplishments was the popular 'Sunday Morning Coming Down' session hosted admirably by John Healy.

Kevin McDonald, author of 'A Life Less Ordinary, soldier, mountaineers and archaeologist', Tom Rowley, columnist with The Sunday Independent and former journalist with The Connaught Telegraph, Geraldine Lavelle, author of 'Weathering the Storm', the story of a courageous young woman's determination to survive the harshest of life's storms in the aftermath of a life-changing accident, and Ray Lawlor, writer of the hit TV series, 'Obituary.'
