Gardaí in Mayo shocked by speed of unaccompanied L-driver
Gardaí in Mayo have detected an unaccompanied learner driver travelling at 119kph in a 60kph zone.
The detection was made by officers in Ballina conducting patrols and checkpoints as part of the Bank Holiday Road safety campaign in an effort to prevent and detect poor driving behaviour.
A garda statement outlined "We detected an unaccompanied learner driver travelling at 119kph in a 60kph zone.
"This behaviour is not only not acceptable this weekend, it's NEVER ACCEPTABLE.
"Please respect other road users, slow down and drive within the speed limits."
