Leading Mayo furniture business celebrates 60th anniversary

One of Mayo's most successful furniture businesses has celebrated its 60th anniversary.
McDermott's of Spencer Street, Castlebar, marked the occasion with a gathering of family and friends.
There was a cookery demonstration by top chef Sarah Butler and a talk on interior design by Margaret Routledge.

The business was founded in 1964 by the late Michael and Eileen McDermott and is now being run by their son Michéal and daughter Michelle, with the support of family members and loyal staff members.
