Ballyhaunis Community Council hosting Christmas Irish Night with James Kilbane

BALLYHAUNIS Community Council is thrilled to announce a fundraising Christmas Irish Folk and Country Night featuring renowned Irish singer James Kilbane.

This special event will take place on Sunday, December 29, at Ballyhaunis Community Hall, Main Street, Ballyhaunis. The concert begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6.30.

Ballyhaunis Community Hall is a cherished local landmark, serving as a vital space for meetings, events and community services.

In 2025, essential maintenance and repairs are planned to ensure the hall continues to support the community, the gallery being converted for event use. The event will also help to pay off the debt of over €100,000.

This fundraising concert offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy an evening of wonderful music while contributing to the preservation of this important venue.

James Kilbane, a household name in Irish music, is celebrated for his heartfelt performances that blend country, folk and inspirational music. With his talented musicians, Kilbane will treat attendees to a captivating repertoire that includes favourites such as 'Spancil Hill', 'Deportee', 'Grace', 'Go Lassie Go', and a selection of seasonal classics. The evening promises memorable sing-along moments and festive cheer.

Adding to the lineup are two exceptional local talents, Magda Manke and Ethan Henry, who will open the show with their own unique musical styles, making this a night to remember.
