West Mayo mourns passing of popular personality Tracy Redmond

The death of Tracy Redmond, 18 Riverdale Court, Knockthomas, Castlebar, has evoked an immense sense of loss in the community.

Aged 53, she was an employee for a long number of years of Allergan Pharmaceuticals and, subsequently, AbbVie, Westport.

Tracy was a popular staff member and made many lifelong friends through her work.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter Debbie (Breaffy, Castlebar) and Debbie’s partner Paraic, her cherished grandchildren Saoirse, Roisin and Caragh, brother Paul, nieces and nephew, cousins, relatives and many friends.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.

Tracy was predeceased by her parents Andrew (Andy) and Ann Redmond (née Horan) and her brother Brian, who died in infancy.

"I will remember Tracy for her heart of gold and such kindness she showed," one stated.

Another said: "She always had a friendly smile and hello whenever we'd meet."

A further tribute observed: "She was a diligent, hard working and sincere person."

Tracy will repose in Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar on Sunday next from 6 to 7.30 p.m.

Removal from Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home on Monday morning at 10.20 a.m. to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.

Afterwards Tracy will be laid to rest with her parents and brother in the Old Cemetery, Castlebar.
