Feast of national cross country running in Mayo this weekend

The 123.ie National Intermediate, Masters & Juvenile B Cross Country Championships promise to deliver another exciting day of cross country competition this Sunday (February 9).

A bumper entry of over 1,200 athletes will head to Westport House, Mayo, in pursuit of national honours come Sunday afternoon.

The 12-race schedule begins with the girls Under 11 1,000m at 11.30 a.m. The Masters women and men O65 take on the 4,000m race from 13.30 p.m., while the final intermediate races will sign off the day’s action, with the women’s race set for 14.40 p.m. before the men finish proceedings at 15.10 p.m.

The location is Westport House at Westport Demesne. Athletics Ireland have thanked all in Westport AC for hosting the championships.
