Hurling development roadshow is coming to a Mayo venue
A series of hurling development roadshows will take place around the country in the coming weeks to outline plans to grow the game of hurling in a meaningful way throughout the country.
The roadshow is coming to Mayo on Thursday, May 15, with a stopover in the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence, Bekan, commencing at 7 p.m.
The event will showcase the significant work already undertaken by the National Hurling Development Committee and newly appointed National Head of Hurling, William Maher.
At the roadshow, the chairperson of the National Hurling Development Committee, Terry Reilly, will give an overview of the National Hurling Development Priorities.
This will be followed by a keynote address given by GAA President Jarlath Burns on his vision for the future of hurling.
Mr. Maher will outline strategic focus areas for 2025-2030, including provincial and county hurling plans and progress reporting. HDC member, Neil McManus, will then host a question-and-answer session.
The first of the seven roadshows takes place in St. Mary’s University College, Belfast, on Friday, May 9, from 7 to 8.30 p.m. Thereafter it goes to Tyrone (May 14), Mayo (May 15), Kildare (May 19), Cork (May 23), Kilkenny (June 4) and Limerick (June 6). Registration can be completed here.
