Tributes to popular Mayo woman on her passing in the UK

The death has taken place at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital of Sheila Mallinson (née Moran), Rinshinna, Castlebar.

In her 86th year, she was a member of an old and respected local family.

Warm tributes are being paid to her on social media, where she was described as 'a beautiful lady inside and out'.

She is deeply regretted by her daughters Denise, Siobhan, Suzanne and Mary, son Michael, grandchildren Omar, Grace, Alfie, Lily, Ellie, James, Eleni, Hadleigh, Tess, Henry, Peter and Paul, great grandson Eden, brother Tommie (Pontoon Road, Castlebar), sister-in-law Kathleen, daughter-in-law Heather, sons-in-law Peter and Andreas and John, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.

Sheila was pre-deceased by her husband Brian James Mallinson (Liverpool), parents Tom and Eileen Moran (Rinshinna, Castlebar), brother Michael Moran (Kilkenny Cross, Castlebar) and sister-in-law Teresa.

Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday at 11.30 a.m. in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.

Sheila's ashes will be laid to rest afterwards in the Old Cemetery.
