Mary retires after 47 years with Mayo motor business

MESSAGES of congratulations have been flooding in for Swinford Motors employee Mary Higgins, who has retired after 47 years service with the business.

Mary began working for Swinford Motors in August 1978 and the Kelly family have paid tribute to her for her support, friendship and loyalty over the years.

A tribute on the Swinford Motors Facebook page said: 'Her hard work, positive attitude and her kindness to all her work colleagues will not be forgotten.

'Mary always went above and beyond to help everyone, she is generous to a fault. She has worked with many, many people over her time in Swinford Motors and is held in high regard by all.

'We’ll really miss having you here with us Mary but wish you the very best in your retirement. You have remained unwaveringly committed over your career; now’s it’s time to focus on you and your family.'
