TELUS Digital powers fourth year of Salmon Run Triathlon in north Mayo

THE TELUS Digital Liquid Motion Salmon Run Triathlon will take place on Saturday, June 28, with registration now open.

This marks the fourth consecutive year that TELUS Digital will sponsor the event in partnership with Liquid Motion, with continued support from Mayo Mental Health.

Kicking off with a 750m swim down the River Moy, followed by a 20km cycle past Belleek Woods, and finishing with a 5km run to the Quay and back, this year’s Salmon Run will take in all the best sights of Ballina.The event features chipped timing and distance markers, with medals for all finishers and fantastic prizes.

Speaking about the event, Enda Cunnane, vice-president of operations at TELUS Digital, said: "At TELUS Digital, we deeply value the role that community connection and wellbeing play in people’s lives. The Salmon Run is more than just a race - it’s a celebration of health, camaraderie, and local spirit.

“It’s been a privilege to support this event for the past four years, and we’re proud to continue our commitment to wellness and community engagement through sport.”

Mark Reynolds, chairman of Liquid Motion Triathlon Club, commented: "Each year, the Salmon Run grows not just in size but in meaning. It brings people together, encourages movement, and supports local initiatives.
