Long-established business closes in heart of Mayo county town

A long-established business in the heart of Castlebar has closed.

Ketterick's Family Butchers, located at Market Square, served the community for many years and had built up a loyal customership.

Its final day of trading in the county town was last Saturday.

Since then, the premises has been made available to let from Kevin Beirne Auctioneers, Castlebar.

It is understood the Ketterick family is opening a new outlet in Louisburgh.

The family, which is wished well in the future, also have a busy shop in Achill Sound.
