Mayo hotter than Majorca as sensational sunshine to continue

The west of Ireland has benefited better than most during this current sunny spell and it’s bad news for those jetting away as this county is warmer and drier than the popular Spanish holiday destination.

Take a look below at what the weather has in store for the county.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 14

Most places will be sunny once again tomorrow.

A few showers will develop later in the afternoon.

Some of these will turn heavy with thunderstorms possible.

Highest temperatures of 20 to 23 degrees in moderate easterly winds.

High pressure will bring dry, settled conditions for the latter half of this week with plenty of sunshine and temperatures into the high teens or low twenties.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT:

Any showers will die out early on Wednesday night, leaving clear skies nationwide. A few mist and fog patches are possible in a light easterly or variable breeze. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees.

Currently in Spanish sunshine resorts like Majorca it’s currently 20 degrees and with spells of sustained thunderstorms.

Mayo beaches will be the place to be for the coming days ahead.
